About Ripples of Compassion
Cultivating compassion from the inside out.
Ripples of Compassion exists to cultivate compassion from the inside out. We offer courses, retreats, guided meditations, and contemplative practices that help people become kinder companions to themselves and allow compassion to naturally ripple outward into their relationships, communities, and the world.

Meet MaryBeth
Ripples of Compassion was founded by MaryBeth Heatwole Moore, a registered nurse, seminary chaplain, ordained minister, and trained Mindful Self-Compassion teacher.
For much of my life, caring for others came naturally.
As a nurse, pastor, daughter, wife, and mom, I spent years supporting the people around me, but I didn't know how to care for myself. Learning self-compassion didn't change my desire to care for others. It changed how I cared for them.
Instead of giving until I am depleted and resentful, I'm learning to live and serve from a more rooted place. Opening myself to receive compassion from God, from others, and especially from myself has transformed the way I care for the people around me.

Our Teaching Community
Ripples of Compassion is rooted in collaboration. While founded and guided by MaryBeth Heatwole Moore, many offerings are created and facilitated alongside other gifted teachers who share a commitment to compassionate living.
